I found a weird, funny looking character that resembled a squid or whatever. In flash, i recreated it, because i just had to have an image of it. For a project called 'TDI-case' we developed a solution to make a standard maquette of a future highschool campus more interesting. The amstelcampus will consist of a few existing renovated buildings and of several new buildings. Goal was to make a specific target group (people with children-to-be-students) more interested in the progression of- and existence of the amstelcampus.

For the study association IAM Core, of which i am member (and at the time board-member), i created a front-end for an appliance form. The idea was that students could fill out the interactive form to be member of IAM Core. This front-end is allmost finished. Reason it was never finished is because there was no back-end to connect to at the time. Member data wasn't available digitally.

Monkey Business was a game developed for one of the courses in the third semester of the 'propedeuse' (orientation year), programming. This was the first time that i made a particle system. the scenery, asteroids and stars are three separate particle systems.

warning: if you start the game, you immediately start losing speed. goal of the game is to keep your spaceship in the game window. If it gets bumped down by asteroids, or if you simply stop acceleration, your spaceship will disappear off-screen and you lose!

Also, there isn't any score-system :)

For this project, the challenge was to get to use the Flickr API in combination with AS3. I hadn't used the Flickr API until then. It worked out really well, even though i never really use Flickr enough for this to be updated. Also, it's a sham Flickr disallows you to use full-resolution images through their API...

This was also the first time i used TweenLite and other tweening libraries. for example, you can click the large 'dividers' to get some sort of cinematic view.

warning: this project seems to have some errors. I was probably unaware of the debug-player at the time while also developing in the Flash-IDE. Yeah, i know right? :)

An evacuation plan chart made for a course called media-design. We had to redesign the evacuation plans in our own building. they were too complex to read in a small amount of time, so the goal was to make it readable easy and fast. I made this using google sketchup and photoshop.
